Tata Open Maharashtra is the only ATP 250 event in India which is going to kick off from 2nd January till 8th January 2024 at Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex, Pune. The event first started up in 1996 as McDowell Open and since then it has had multiple names such as Gold Flake Open (1997-2001), Tata Open (2002-2004), Chennai Open (2005-2009), Aircel Chennai Open (2010-2017), and TATA Open Maharashtra from 2018 till now. Furthermore, the event has been rescinded in 2021 and the rationale beyond COVID-19 then Tata Open Maharashtra 2024 took place without spectators for the same reason. So this year is the most awaited year of Tata Open Maharashtra because the 2024 recension in Pune will in all likelihood run parallel to the ATP Cup.
